BEGODE / Technical Support

Firmware Update & Recovery Guide

What to do if a firmware update fails or your wheel appears unable to power on.

Update Only When Necessary

Firmware updates are not routine maintenance. Update only when BEGODE officially recommends it or when needed to address a confirmed technical issue or safety risk.

If your wheel works normally, do not update its firmware unnecessarily.

Understand the Risks

Connection interruptions, device compatibility issues, or incorrect procedures can cause an update to fail and may leave the controller unresponsive.

Before recovery, contact BEGODE Support for guidance appropriate to your vehicle.

If Your Wheel Cannot Power On

A wheel that appears switched off may still have a powered controller. A flashing Bluetooth indicator can mean the controller is still accessible through the BEGODE App.

Reconnect Using the BEGODE App

If the Bluetooth module indicator is flashing, try connecting through the BEGODE App and resuming the correct firmware update under BEGODE's guidance.

Use an Android phone when available and maintain a stable Bluetooth and internet connection.

Try the Two-Button Reset

If the update cannot be completed, press and hold the main power button and motor power cut-off (pause) button together for approximately 15 seconds to attempt reset mode.

Reconnect through the App and retry as instructed. If the controller remains unresponsive, stop and request assistance.

Qualified, BEGODE-Authorized Personnel Only

Full Controller Power Reset

A deeper controller lockup may require a complete power reset. For experienced personnel specifically authorized by BEGODE, this can involve disconnecting the battery connector, using the power button to discharge residual controller power, reconnecting the battery, and attempting to power on and connect through the App again.

High-voltage hazard: Electrical components may retain dangerous energy even after battery disconnection. If you are not qualified and authorized, do not open the wheel or disconnect the battery. Contact BEGODE Support or a professional service provider.

After a Successful Update: Perform a horizontal calibration before riding. Check that the wheel responds normally; do not ride if any abnormal behavior remains.

BEGODE / APP

BEGODE APP User Guide

Connect your BEGODE electric unicycle, check vehicle information, customize supported riding settings, record rides, connect with other riders, and access BEGODE services.

Before changing vehicle settings or operating your phone, bring your wheel to a safe, complete stop. Available data and settings depend on your wheel's model, hardware, and firmware. Android and iOS use the same APP interface and operating flow for the features described here.

01

Getting Started & Account

1.1 | Main Navigation

The BEGODE APP has five main areas:

  • Vehicle: Bluetooth connection, dashboard, BMS data, ride settings, black box, and firmware updates.
  • Community: Rider posts, routebooks, ride tracking, nearby riders, and groups.
  • Store: Visit the official BEGODE online store.
  • Service: Basic APP questions and general inquiries.
  • Me: Account, profile, appearance, language, and APP version.

1.2 | First-Time Setup

  1. Install and open the official BEGODE APP.
  2. Go to Me and sign in or register a BEGODE account.
  3. Allow Bluetooth and other permissions needed for the features you want to use.
  4. Power on your wheel.
  5. Open Vehicle, find your wheel in the Bluetooth device list, and connect.
  6. Confirm the connection and check that live vehicle data are updating.

1.3 | Sign In, Register, and Reset Your Password

To sign in, open Me → Account Login and use your BEGODE account's email address or phone number and password. Your BEGODE account is separate from your Apple ID.

To register, select Register Account, read and accept the user agreement, enter your email, request a verification code, enter the four-digit email code, choose a nickname and password, and complete registration. If the email does not arrive, check the address and spam folder.

To reset a forgotten password, select Forgot Password, enter the associated email address and verification code, then set a new password.

1.4 | Account and Profile Management

After signing in, the account area includes options to change your password, sign out, or delete your account. Deleting an account is not the same as signing out; read the on-screen information before confirming account deletion.

Go to Me → Edit Profile to edit your photo, nickname, bio, date of birth, gender, and region. Email, phone, and location visibility switches control public display; they do not change your account's registered contact details.

1.5 | Appearance, Language, and Permissions

Use Me → Personalization to choose an APP theme and Me → Language Selection to choose a display language. Changing the theme does not change the wheel's riding mode, firmware, or battery configuration.

  • Bluetooth: Finds and connects to your wheel and receives vehicle data.
  • Location: Supports ride routes and nearby-rider searches.
  • Notifications: Supports selected ride statuses and reminders.
  • Photos: Lets you choose profile, post, or support media.
  • Internet: Required for accounts, online services, community features, cloud records, and firmware downloads.

If you denied permission, open your phone's system settings and review BEGODE permissions. Clear phone notifications do not themselves end a ride.

02

Vehicle Connection & Dashboard

2.1 | Connect Your Wheel

  1. Power on the wheel and enable Bluetooth on your phone.
  2. Allow BEGODE Bluetooth access and hold the phone close to the wheel.
  3. Open Vehicle, then tap the dashboard's Bluetooth status area.
  4. Wait for the device list to populate and select your wheel.
  5. Wait for Connected and confirm live data are updating.

Tap Rescan if needed. The current device list shows devices whose Bluetooth names contain gotway. When several wheels are nearby, confirm you have selected your own.

2.2 | Rename, Disconnect, or Switch Devices

To identify several wheels, tap the pencil icon beside a device, enter a Vehicle Remark, and save. This remark is for recognition in the APP; it does not rename the wheel's original Bluetooth broadcast name.

Use Disconnect to stop the current connection, or Disconnect and Search to select another wheel. After an unexpected connection loss, the APP attempts to reconnect to the original wheel. A deliberate disconnect pauses that automatic reconnection until you choose a device again.

2.3 | Dashboard and Live Data

Depending on the vehicle and selected dashboard theme, the APP can present speed, vehicle temperature, distance, and other reported information. Swipe upward or expand Detailed Data to see more supported parameters.

Motor temperature: Some older BEGODE models do not support motor-temperature reporting. If motor temperature is absent, the feature is not supported by that model; the missing display alone does not indicate a fault. Motor temperature and controller temperature are different values.

An empty field or dash indicates that valid data have not been received for that field; it must not be interpreted as a zero reading.

2.4 | Dashboard Themes

Open Me → Personalization to select from the available dashboard themes, including Racing Track, Off-Road Trail, Long-Distance Cruise, Geek Diagnostics, Landscape Dashboard, Minimal Light, and Minimal Dark.

In the landscape dashboard, swipe upward to access detailed data and settings or downward to access the numeric view. Theme selection changes the APP display only; it does not change the vehicle's Race run mode.

2.5 | Voltage and Battery Percentage — Racing Track Theme Only

The voltage/percentage tap-to-switch feature is available only in the Racing Track dashboard theme. Connect your wheel, select Me → Personalization → Racing Track, return to Vehicle, and tap the voltage value to show battery percentage. Tap again to show voltage. The APP remembers the selected display.

Other dashboard themes use different layouts and do not have this voltage/percentage display or switching function. Battery percentage is a reference to remaining battery charge, not a guarantee of remaining riding range.

2.6 | KM / Mile Units

The APP supports kilometers / km/h and miles / mph. A wheel must be connected before the speed and distance unit can be changed. After connecting, use the KM/Mile control in the Vehicle page.

2.7 | Smart BMS Battery Information

Detailed BMS data are available only on wheel models equipped with a Smart BMS that reports those data. Open Vehicle, swipe upward, and expand BMS. Select All or a supported battery group to review available pack voltage, current, battery temperature, cell voltages, balancing status, MOS status, and other reported information.

Some devices expose groups 1–4; the available number of groups and cell series varies by model. As one model-dependent example, complete 60-series data can be displayed as two groups of 30 series. This is not a universal battery configuration.

Use Show Abnormal Series Only to narrow the list when needed, then turn it off to review all available cell data.

If No Cell Data Reported appears, first check the connection, wait for data, review group selection, and turn off abnormal-only filtering. Missing data do not mean cell voltage is zero and do not, on their own, establish a battery fault. For persistent abnormalities, record the group, series number, and time for support.

2.8 | Quick Controls and Troubleshooting

Where supported, the Vehicle page also includes shortcuts such as horn and headlight control.

If your wheel cannot be found, verify its power, Bluetooth permissions, distance, and scan again. If connected but not showing data, verify the selected device and wait for current readings. To review connection or dashboard settings, stop riding before handling the phone.

03

Ride Settings

BEGODE ride settings affect handling, tilt protection, speed and power alerts, pedal attitude, and selected auxiliary functions. Make adjustments only when the wheel is safely stopped. Features and ranges may vary with hardware and firmware.

3.1 | L/R Tilt Cutoff

Sets the angle at which the motor stops delivering power as the wheel leans left or right, measured from its upright position. The cutoff helps prevent an accidentally fallen wheel from continuing to spin at high speed. Power automatically resumes when the wheel is brought upright and its lean angle falls below the set threshold.

For everyday riding and beginners, avoid unnecessarily large cutoff angles. Higher angles may be useful for off-road or advanced riding requiring significant lean, but increase the chance that a fallen wheel is still powered. Keep clear of the wheel when lifting it upright.

3.2 | Tilt Cutoff Level

Works together with L/R Tilt Cutoff and offers Low, Medium, and High. The higher the level, the greater the wheel's permitted lean angle. Keep the default setting for normal use. Consider a higher level only when your riding activity requires large lean angles, such as technical off-road riding. Larger permitted angles increase the risk of continued motor power as the wheel falls.

3.3 | Ride Mode

Changes forward/backward pedal pitch response during acceleration and braking. The three settings correspond to the confirmed Chinese labels 软和, 舒适, and 劲爆. The descriptions below explain the riding feel of each setting.

  • Softer feel (软和): More pedal pitch under acceleration and braking; a softer feel.
  • Comfort feel (舒适): Moderate pedal pitch and balanced response; suitable for daily riding.
  • Firmer, more direct feel (劲爆): Minimal pedal pitch with more direct feedback; suited to experienced riders and racing applications.

For everyday use, the softer or comfort setting is generally preferable.

3.4 | Run Mode

Off-road: For mountain trails and demanding uneven surfaces.

Race: For smoother paved roads and speed-oriented riding.

Important: Switching between Off-road and Race causes a full wheel power interruption and restart. Never switch while riding. Stop completely before changing Run Mode.

3.5 | Field Weakening Control

Operates only in Race run mode; it has no effect in Off-road mode. Firmware control weakens the motor's magnetic field to increase motor RPM and potential speed ceiling.

There are nine levels: 1 provides the smallest effect and 9 the largest. For experienced riders seeking higher speeds, levels 7 or 8 are commonly considered rather than immediately selecting 9. Extreme settings do not provide extra safety margin; do not exceed your wheel's performance limits.

3.6 | Power Alarm

Triggers a warning when power demand reaches the selected proportion of the system's power threshold. The recommended setting is 80%. An excessively high value (such as 90%) may provide too little warning time; a very low value can generate premature or frequent alerts. An alarm cannot predict every sudden overload.

3.7 | Power Tiltback

Works with the Power Alarm threshold. When triggered, the front of the pedals rises to prompt the rider to slow down. Enabling this feature is recommended.

Sudden hard acceleration, bumps, or abrupt terrain changes can make power demand exceed the wheel's capability faster than either the alarm or tiltback can respond. Neither feature guarantees prevention of an overpower-related fall.

3.8 | Speed Alarm

Provides audible warnings at configured speed stages. As examples only, some wheels use a first alert around 25–30 km/h and a second around 45 km/h. Actual stages vary by model and specifications. The final power safety alarm cannot be disabled.

3.9 | Tiltback Speed

Sets the speed at which the pedals tilt upward to signal that the rider should slow down. Choose a conservative setting with appropriate safety margin for the wheel's performance and conditions.

No-load lift speed is not a safe sustained riding speed and must not be used directly as a safe-speed setting.

3.10 | Max Speed Reminder

Triggers a phone vibration reminder when the selected speed is reached. It is not a wheel beeper alert and does not limit the wheel's speed. It is separate from Speed Alarm and Tiltback Speed.

3.11 | Angle Compensation

During left/right leaning turns, the pedals may pitch slightly upward at the front to help reduce the possibility of scraping the ground during deep turns. This does not guarantee that pedal contact with the ground will be prevented.

3.12 | Level Adjustment

Fine-tunes the wheel's front/back pedal attitude for the rider's stance and preference. Make small adjustments and assess them in safe conditions. This is not a replacement for mandatory calibration following firmware updates or structural repairs.

3.13 | Beeper Volume

Adjusts ordinary wheel notification sound volume. The highest power safety alarm is unaffected and sounds at the system's preset maximum level.

3.14 | Ambient Light and PWM Display

Ambient Light applies only to supported models (for example, Blazer). Available light functions differ by model.

On specific supported Smart BMS-equipped or newer wheels, selecting LED 9 switches the wheel's display to PWM mode: the three-digit display changes to two digits. Selecting LED 9 again restores the ordinary three-digit speed display. Older models do not support this feature. Smart BMS hardware or recent model age alone does not guarantee PWM display support.

3.15 | Calibrate

A horizontal calibration is required after any of the following: replacing the controller/mainboard, modifying the main vehicle structure, updating firmware, or noticing abnormal wheel running attitude.

  1. Stop and stabilize the wheel in a safe place.
  2. Connect through the BEGODE APP and open Vehicle → Ride Settings → Calibrate.
  3. Wait for the wheel's calibration tone.
  4. Hold the wheel in the correct level/upright calibration position.
  5. Keep it steady, power it off, then power it on again.
  6. Check its attitude and response before riding.

An incorrect position during calibration can affect subsequent pedal-level behavior.

04

Ride Tracking & Routebook

The Ride Tracking function records available wheel data and, with location permission, a GPS route. Saved rides are not automatically published to the community. You choose separately whether to create and publish a routebook.

4.1 | Open Ride Tracking

Go to Community → Routebook → Ride. The My Ride page includes:

  • Start Ride: Start a new ride recording.
  • Continue Ride: Continue an unfinished ride available for your current account on this phone.
  • End Ride: End and save a ride.
  • Current Location: Recenter the map and resume map following. This does not start a ride.
  • History: Review locally saved rides.

4.2 | Start and Monitor a Ride

  1. Sign in to your BEGODE account.
  2. Connect your wheel and confirm that current vehicle data are arriving.
  3. Open Community → Routebook → Ride.
  4. Select Start Ride.
  5. Allow location access and Precise Location when prompted if you want a GPS route.
  6. Confirm that the ride page shows recording as active.

If GPS is unavailable, available vehicle data may still be collected, but actual route points cannot be created for the missing GPS period. Review the ride status, wheel connection, and data after returning to the ride page; do not assume that temporarily leaving the page guarantees uninterrupted data collection.

4.3 | Continue an Unfinished Ride

If the APP shows an unfinished ride, follow its available options:

  • Continue Ride: Continue the existing unfinished record.
  • End Ride: End and save it.
  • Start Ride: Begin a new ride after responding to the prompt about the previous record.

Check the current record before starting again to avoid accidentally ending or duplicating a ride. Bluetooth or location interruptions can affect data completeness. Do not assume missing vehicle or GPS data can be recreated later.

4.4 | Disconnects and Power-Off

If the Bluetooth connection is interrupted during a ride, check the wheel's power, phone Bluetooth, and connection status. Restore the connection and verify the ride's actual recording state.

A powered-off wheel cannot send new vehicle readings. If you intentionally disconnected the wheel, manually reconnect it as required. Missing measurements and GPS positions are not invented by the APP.

4.5 | End and Save a Ride

  1. Go to Community → Routebook → Ride.
  2. Select End Ride and confirm.
  3. Save the record; enter the routebook preview only if you wish to review a possible public post.

Saving a ride does not publish it. If you previously turned on live sharing in Nearby Riders, ending a ride does not stop that separate sharing session. Check its status and use Stop Sharing when you no longer wish to share.

4.6 | Find Saved Records

  • Local ride history: Community → Routebook → Ride → History. Includes the current account's rides stored on this phone.
  • Synced daily records: Me → My Community → My Rides. Shows the most recent seven synced daily entries in the documented interface.
  • Published routebooks: Community → Routebook. Shows content published to the community.

These are separate record collections. The cloud list is not a complete listing of every local ride.

4.7 | Prepare and Preview a Routebook

From a completed ride or completed ride in History, open the publication preview. Enter a title and description; review the map and decide what should be public.

Start/end location hiding can be set to Off, 500 m, 1000 m, or 2000 m. The documented default preview hides the first and last 500 m around the route endpoints.

Location privacy warning: Hiding start and end points does not make the route anonymous. Other locations along your path may still reveal personal information.

4.8 | Choose Public Ride Data

Review these separately before publication:

  • Public Route: Whether the ride route appears.
  • Black Box Summary: Whether a summary is shared.
  • Full-Trip Curves: Whether available data curves are displayed. Use Select Public Parameters when applicable.

The documented preview defaults to Public Route ON, Full-Trip Curves ON, and Black Box Summary OFF. These are initial settings, not consent. Always inspect the actual switches, map, and parameters before publishing. Two separate privacy/publication confirmations must be actively completed.

4.9 | Publish and Manage a Routebook

When satisfied with the preview, complete both required confirmations and select Publish Routebook. Wait for confirmation that the routebook has been published. Select Cancel if you only want to review it.

If you see Previous Result Not Yet Confirmed, use the available Retry Confirmation action instead of creating an unintended duplicate. A fresh publication creates a new routebook rather than editing an older one.

You may delete one of your published routebooks through Delete Routebook and the on-screen confirmation. Deleting a public routebook does not delete the original local ride record.

05

Black Box & Data Analysis

The Black Box captures and presents available wheel operating values as graphs to help riders review performance or preserve information for technical troubleshooting. Its content depends on the vehicle's actual data reporting capabilities.

5.1 | Open the Black Box

Power on and connect the wheel, open Vehicle, and expand Black Box. Review Recording Status and the graph area. The APP attempts to start a recording upon entering the Black Box page, but useful curves still require valid data reported by the wheel.

5.2 | Start and Stop Recording

Use Start Recording to begin Black Box data capture and Stop Recording to end it. This is independent of Start Ride in the route-tracking section; the two controls must not be confused.

5.3 | Select Curve Parameters

Select Parameters, choose which available readings to display, and tap Done to save your selection or Cancel to discard changes. Each parameter group can show up to five curves. Use Previous Group / Next Group to switch groups.

Selection determines what is shown, not which other available parameters the APP can record. Data never reported by the wheel, or absent from an older record, cannot be displayed retroactively.

5.4 | Analyze Graphs

  • 60–4000: Controls the graph's displayed sampling-point window. The number is points, not seconds or an alarm value.
  • 1×–16×: Adjusts viewing magnification to inspect local changes.
  • Reset: Returns the current graph window to a 1× view. It does not delete data or reset vehicle settings.
  • Previous / Next Group: Switches between selected parameter groups.

Stop riding before studying graphs on your phone.

5.5 | Export CSV Data

Select Share Data Table to export a CSV data file, then choose its destination in the phone's share menu. You can save it or send it to technical support when requested. Exporting does not automatically publish anything to the community or send it to BEGODE Support.

5.6 | Delete Local Records — Important

Delete Local Records removes local Black Box logs immediately, without a second confirmation dialog. Export any data you may need before tapping it. This is especially important for abnormal alarms, suspected power loss, or diagnostics requested by a technician.

5.7 | No Data or Missing Curves

Check the live Bluetooth connection, recording status, selected parameters, and whether your wheel actually reports the value. Some older records do not contain every newer or optional measurement. Missing curves do not automatically mean that the wheel is faulty.

The Black Box is a diagnostic aid, not a replacement for riding safety systems.

06

Community & Groups

Connect with other riders through community posts, rider profiles, groups, group chat, and group rides. Check privacy before sharing photos, videos, or locations.

6.1 | Browse and Interact

Go to Community → Posts to browse posts and routebooks. Open a post to read it, like it, or comment. Tap a rider's profile to view their page or follow them. Review your own posts, followed riders, and followers under Me → My Community.

6.2 | Publish a Post

  1. Open Community → Posts → Create Post.
  2. Choose a category and enter your text.
  3. Optionally add photos or a video.
  4. Review your content and select Publish.

A post may contain up to nine media items in total, with no more than one video of up to 30 seconds. These limits apply to community posts, not support-chat attachments.

6.3 | Manage Posts and Other Users

Use the appropriate menu to Report objectionable content or Block User. The blocked-user list under Me allows you to reverse a block. Review profile visibility and avoid disclosing sensitive personal information.

6.4 | Find and Join Groups

Open Community → Groups and choose Recommended, My Groups, or Nearby.

Nearby in Groups searches by a city entered by the user; it does not use GPS. This differs from Community → Nearby, which searches for nearby riders and requires the user to agree to location use.

For public groups, select Join Group. For private groups, choose Request to Join and wait for approval. Private group chat, membership, and ride events are available only after joining.

6.5 | Create a Group

In Community → Groups, select Create Group, enter its required details, and confirm. A private group's name, photo, description, and member count may still appear in the application summary; avoid using private photos or sensitive information as its publicly displayed image.

6.6 | Group Chat

Open one of your joined groups and its chat area, type a message, and select Send. The documented group chat supports text messages. Group chat is not an official order or after-sales support channel.

6.7 | Join or Organize a Group Ride

Within a group, open Group Ride to review the meeting place, start time, capacity, and details. Select Join to register; use Cancel Registration if your plans change.

To organize a group ride, choose Create Group Ride, enter its title, meeting location, start time, maximum participants, and description, then publish. The meeting point is available to group members. Creating a group ride does not automatically read or share your live GPS location.

6.8 | Leave or Disband a Group

To leave, open the group's … menu and choose Leave Group, then confirm. A group owner may Disband Group, which removes members' access to that group. Review the consequences before using it.

07

Nearby Riders & Live Sharing

Nearby rider search, profile-location visibility, and live sharing are separate functions. You decide whether to use each one.

7.1 | Find Nearby Riders

  1. Open Community → Nearby.
  2. Read the location notice and actively agree to the feature.
  3. Grant the phone location permission when prompted.
  4. Turn on Use Approximate Location to Find Riders.
  5. Switch between Riders and Map and choose a radius of 5, 20, 50, or 100 km.

Without consent and location authorization, location-based nearby rider results will not be shown properly.

7.2 | Update Location and Results

Use Relocate to refresh the position used for your search, or Refresh to update nearby results. Approximate location may come from an earlier location measurement. The map should not be treated as an exact live-GPS map of every rider.

7.3 | Separate Privacy Controls

  • Nearby search: Finds riders from approximate location after your permission.
  • Profile location visibility: Managed separately through Me → Edit Profile.
  • Live sharing: Must be intentionally enabled through the Nearby sharing interface.

Enabling nearby search does not automatically activate precise live sharing. However, if you have already chosen to make your profile location public, its approximate displayed area may be updated. Turning nearby search off does not disable a separately active sharing session.

7.4 | Prepare Vehicle Data Sharing

Connect the wheel and verify valid readings. In Black Box, select the parameters you wish to display, then open Community → Nearby → Share. Review the chosen parameter group before enabling sharing. You choose which supported vehicle parameters to share; the APP does not automatically publish every raw Black Box value.

7.5 | Turn on Live Sharing

Select Start Sharing, read the notice, and confirm. The default location-sharing scope is approximate location. To share precise live GPS, explicitly enable Live Location Sharing and grant Precise Location as required.

Consider carefully whom you may reveal your location to. Opening a sharing panel or viewing its data does not itself change an existing sharing session's status.

7.6 | View Shared Data

View, Collapse, and Auto Expand change how the shared data panel appears on your own phone. These are display controls; they are not the same as Stop Sharing.

7.7 | Stop Sharing — Important

When you no longer want to share, open Community → Nearby → Share, select Stop Sharing, and verify that the sharing status has ended.

Returning to another page, collapsing the panel, or ending a local ride does not stop live sharing. Stopping sharing also does not delete previously sent messages or published routebooks.

7.8 | Nearby Riders vs. Nearby Groups

  • Community → Nearby: Rider search with active consent and location permission.
  • Community → Groups → Nearby: City-name search for groups; no phone GPS is needed.

To protect your privacy, use only the location and vehicle-data sharing features you intend to activate. Stop riding before changing these settings on your phone.

Help & Support

The APP's Service chat is intended for simple questions and general APP guidance. For orders, warranty claims, repairs, or formal after-sales service, use the BEGODE website's online support channel or email bgd006@begode.com.

8.1 | Ask the Smart Assistant

Go to Service → Smart Assistant, enter your question, and select Send. This is suitable for account basics, Bluetooth connection guidance, APP functions, and other general inquiries. Basic text questions are available without signing in.

The assistant provides general information; it is not a substitute for professional vehicle fault diagnosis or a safety inspection.

8.2 | Transfer to a Human Representative

If needed, select Transfer to Human and wait until the channel is established. You can then send messages in the same conversation. A successfully opened channel means that messages can be submitted; it does not mean that an agent is replying in real time. If a queue is displayed, wait for a response.

APP human chat remains a general inquiry channel. For formal orders and after-sales service, use the official website's online customer service or the support email below.

8.3 | Send Photos or Videos

To attach media, first sign in and enter the APP human-chat channel.

  1. Tap the image icon next to the input field.
  2. Choose one photo or one video from the system photo picker.
  3. Wait for preparation, then check Image Preview or Video Preview.
  4. Remove an incorrect selection with × and choose again.
  5. Tap Send Attachment and wait for confirmation.

Images and videos are processed separately from text messages. Sending an attachment does not send text still in the message box; tap Send afterward for that text. Selecting a media item does not immediately transmit it.

Documented attachment limits: 10 MB per processed image, 30 MB per processed video; original files over 500 MB cannot be processed. Download media from iCloud to your phone first if the APP cannot read a cloud-only file.

Once sent, use View Image or Play Video to inspect the attachment.

8.4 | Exit Human Chat

Tap Exit Human Service at the top of the chat. There is no second confirmation dialog. Wait for the exit to finish and for the Transfer to Human button to return. Conversation history and text in the input box remain; unsent attachments are removed.

Exit Human Service and Clear are different: Clear removes the current displayed chat and unsent drafts and starts a new session. Do not use Clear merely to leave human service. Account switching may also clear unsent drafts.

8.5 | Attachment Failures

If an attachment upload fails or has not reached support, check your network, file size, sign-in, and human-chat status; then select Retry when offered. If the human session has ended, re-enter that channel before trying again. Avoid repeatedly tapping Send while an upload is still in progress.

8.6 | Orders and After-Sales Service

For orders, product faults, warranty questions, repairs, and other formal service matters, contact:

To help support understand the issue, provide the wheel model, relevant order details when applicable, a clear description, the time of occurrence, and photos or video if requested. For technical issues, support may request firmware information or exported Black Box data.

Never share your password or verification codes. For potentially hazardous electrical or firmware repairs, obtain appropriate technical guidance rather than attempting an unverified procedure.

09

Store

The Store tab opens the official BEGODE website: https://www.begode.com. You can browse products, read details, and use the website's normal purchasing flow.

9.1 | Open and Browse

Open BEGODE APP → Store, wait for the web page to load, and choose products to review. Product details, variants, availability, prices, shipping, and other purchase conditions are governed by the actual store page and checkout information.

9.2 | Store Account

The embedded website's account session is separate from your BEGODE APP account. You may need to sign in to the store again even if you are already signed in to the APP.

9.3 | Purchase Through the Website

Follow the official store's product detail, cart, checkout, and order interfaces. Before purchasing, verify model, specifications, price, delivery terms, and applicable policies.

9.4 | If the Page Fails to Load

Check your internet connection and select Retry when available. Try again later if the service is temporarily unavailable.

9.5 | Orders and After-Sales Service

For order, shipping, warranty, or service questions, use the official website's online customer service or bgd006@begode.com. Warranty terms are detailed in the BEGODE Warranty Policy: https://www.begode.com/blogs/news/warranty. The APP's general Service chat is not the official channel for formal order or repair handling.

10

APP & Firmware Updates

Updating the phone APP and updating the wheel's firmware are different procedures. An APP update refreshes the mobile application. A vehicle firmware update changes controller software and has greater operational risk.

10.1 | Check Your APP Version

Open Me → APP Version to view the installed version and build information. Provide both when asked to help investigate an APP issue. The version display is informational, not a manual Check for Updates button.

10.2 | Update the BEGODE APP

When a compatible version is detected, the APP may show an optional update notice with Update Now and Later choices. Such a notice does not install the update automatically and may not appear at every launch. Use official distribution sources only.

10.3 | Update Vehicle Firmware Only When Necessary

Firmware updates are not routine maintenance. Only proceed when BEGODE officially recommends an update or when it is required to remedy a confirmed technical issue or safety risk.

If your wheel works normally and BEGODE has not given a specific recommendation, keep the current firmware. Do not upgrade simply because a newer version appears.

10.4 | Understand Firmware Update Risks

Firmware updates can fail because of connection interruption, unstable network access, wrong or incompatible firmware, unexpected power loss, or incorrect operation. A failed update can leave the controller unresponsive or make the wheel appear unable to power on. When unsure about firmware compatibility, contact BEGODE before proceeding.

10.5 | Prepare for an Authorized Update

  1. Verify the official firmware matches the exact wheel model, controller, and hardware configuration.
  2. Ensure the phone and wheel have sufficient battery charge.
  3. Maintain a stable Bluetooth connection and necessary network access.
  4. Park the wheel in a safe, stable location. Never update while riding.
  5. Follow the firmware version and procedure specifically confirmed by BEGODE.

10.6 | Vehicle Firmware Update Steps

  1. Power on the wheel and connect it through the APP.
  2. Open Vehicle → Firmware Upgrade.
  3. Choose the correct firmware type and review the version/file name.
  4. Select Tap to Download on the appropriate file.
  5. After downloading, review the selected file again and select Firmware Upgrade.
  6. Wait for an explicit completion result. Do not ride, intentionally power off the wheel, disconnect Bluetooth, or interrupt the update.
  7. Confirm the vehicle's state and proceed with mandatory calibration.

Downloading a file or reaching the end of a progress bar does not by itself prove the vehicle update succeeded.

10.7 | Mandatory Horizontal Calibration

After every successful firmware update, perform a horizontal calibration before riding. Calibration is also required after replacing a mainboard, modifying the main structural assembly, or observing abnormal vehicle riding attitude.

In Vehicle → Ride Settings → Calibrate, start calibration, wait for the tone, hold the wheel in the correct level/upright position, switch it off, and switch it back on. Check its attitude and operation before riding. See 03 | Ride Settings → Calibrate for the main calibration description.

10.8 | If a Firmware Update Fails

Do not repeatedly retry without understanding the issue. A wheel that appears powered off may still have a powered controller. If its Bluetooth-module indicator is flashing, the APP may still be able to reconnect to the controller for recovery under official guidance.

If the APP cannot restore communication or complete an approved recovery attempt, stop and contact BEGODE Support. Procedures involving opening the wheel, disconnecting batteries, or other high-voltage internal components carry serious hazards and are not intended for untrained users.

For the complete recovery guidance, use the separate "Firmware Update & Recovery Guide" on this APP Download page.

10.9 | Official Support and Warranty Information

Provide the wheel model, attempted firmware name/version, error message, and steps taken when contacting support:

Warranty eligibility, responsibility, and costs are governed by the applicable official policy.

Never ride a wheel with unexplained controller errors, abnormal running attitude, or uncertain firmware status.

Ride Safely

  • Wear protection: Always wear a suitable helmet and appropriate protective equipment, including knee and elbow protection.
  • Follow local traffic rules: Be mindful of road conditions and other road users.
  • Know your wheel: Understand the speed, power, load rating, and other operating limits of your specific model.
  • Stay within its capabilities: Never exceed the wheel's load or power capacity. Avoid violent or excessive acceleration and other actions that may cause an overpower-related fall.
  • Use alerts responsibly: Beepers, pedal tiltback, and other protective features are supplementary warnings; they cannot prevent every accident.

Know your limits. Respect the wheel's capabilities. Ride safely.
